WJI Buzz - Barnes, Chesser, Jackson, Pearcey

Fred Barnes (speaker 04-06, 08, 10) was honored with the Barbara Olson award for journalism at the American Spectator’s annual dinner. The award is named for the former prosecutor/pundit who was married to Solicitor General Ted Olson and who died in the 9/11 plane that hit the Pentagon. Barnes is executive editor of The Weekly Standard.

Paul Chesser (WJI 99) was named Executive Director of the Western Tradition Institute, a 501(c)3 not-for-profit charitable public policy research and educational foundation. Chesser is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island.

Mary Hart Jackson (WJI 99) wrote an article called “Lead writing 101: A quick overview of the basics behind this essential skill.” The article is available in the Amy Foundation's Pen & Sword Fall 2010 newsletter by clicking here, or to members of the Evangelical Press Association on their website. Jackson is editor of Pen & Sword and is a graduate of Greenville College in Greenville, Illinois.
