David Aikman (speaker 02) wrote “Perish the Thought,” a book review of The Closing of the Muslim Mind: How Intellectual Suicide Created the Modern Islamist Crisis by Robert R. Reilly in the April 11 issue of the The Weekly Standard. Aikman’s latest book is The Mirage of Peace: Understanding the Never-Ending Conflict in the Middle East. He is Professor of History and Writer in Residence at Patrick Henry College and is author of the WJI monograph “The Three Callings of a Christian in Journalism.”

Marvin Olasky (teacher 99-03) and WORLD magazine are being honored by the Midtown Pregnancy Support Center in midtown Manhattan on April 29 at a special gala held in celebration of the center’s 15th anniversary of serving New York City.
