WJI Buzz - Kristof, Devaney, Harrison, Pipkin

Nicholas Kristof (WJI speaker 06), New York Times columnist, and his wife Sheryl WuDunn co-wrote the new book Half the Sky: Turning Oppression into Opportunity for Women Worldwide.

Tim Devaney (WJI 09) is interning in Washington, D.C., on the business desk at The Washington Times. Tim completed a WJI-funded summer internship at the Portland Press-Herald in Maine during the summer.

James Harrison (WJI 08) is interning for the Asheville (N.C.) Citizen Times this fall. Harrison's internship is funded by the World Journalism Institute.

Whitney Coleman Pipkin (WJI 09) is working as a WJI-funded intern for the Skagit Valley Herald in Mt. Vernon, Washington, this fall. Pipkin also completed an internship at the Tacoma News Tribune.
