Susan Moeller began her work in journalism by regularly contributing to the Leader, a weekly newspaper in Bergen County, N.J., with a combined circulation of almost 40,000 households. As a freelancer, she covered municipal and school board beats, publishing as many as four to five stories a week. During her time at the Leader, the paper won numerous content awards, and Susan’s responsibilities increased to include training new reporters and occasionally editing news content.
Most recently, Susan was hired as a freelance reporter for the North Jersey Media Group where she will cover a municipal beat for the Fort Lee Suburbanite.
Susan is married with two elementary-aged boys. Because she works on freelance basis, Susan can flex her work schedule around the family's needs.
Before entering the newspaper world, Susan worked with her husband, Duanne, at the King's College and on staff with Campus Crusade for Christ. She has a bachelor's degree in education from Marshall University and a master's degree in theological studies from the International School of Theology.
As a reporter, Susan loves covering local news and helping people stay informed about the activities of their elected officials.
