Mindy Belz is editor of WORLD magazine. She has written for WORLD since 1986, becoming the magazine's international editor in 1994 and its editor in 2004. She has covered war in Africa, the Balkans, Afghanistan, and the Middle East. Her reporting has been published overseas, as well as in First Things, the Charlotte Observer, Frontpage Magazine and the Washington Times. She has appeared on Fox News and ABC News and is a regular guest on radio talk shows. She is a former Capitol Hill staffer, and attended George Washington University. She makes her home in North Carolina. Mindy has been a WJI teacher.

Latest: The institute has extended invitations to eighteen journalists from several African countries.
The international workshop program will be held in Africa Sunday, January 15, through Friday, January 27, 2012, at the African Bible University campus outside of Kampala, Uganda.
The teaching will be led by Mindy Belz of WORLD magazine.
WJI will choose 15 applicants and pay for their expenses to and from the workshop under the Joel Belz International Media Fellowship Program.
The African workshop is the second phase of the WJI Belz International Fellows Program which was begun to equip, place and encourage Christians in the newsrooms of the world.

This highly selective conference is for 15 WJI alumni graduates only. The conference is an all-expense paid weekend in October in Washington, DC at the Dupont Hotel. A series of seminars and meals is held in conjunction with the Ethics and Public Policy Center in Washington with EPPC Vice President Michael Cromartie acting as conference moderator.
