Biography

Megan is one the youngest rising stars in the television news industry. She is active in various charities, loves speaking to youth and involved in her church. She pens the business coach section for NSIDE business journal.

Megan Alexander is a New York-based correspondent for the award-winning newsmagazine Inside Edition. She frequently appears as a guest commentator on the CNN Headline News Program "Showbiz Tonight."

From crime stories to fashion trends to red carpet awards shows, Alexander brings an insightful eye to the stories she covers for the newsmagazine's viewers. Megan has interviewed celebrities like Anthony Hopkins, Ron Howard and Madonna. She has covered top events like the 2008 Presidential Election, the US Airways landing in the Hudson River, and Michael Jackson's memorial. She has even swam with Tigers!

Before joining Inside Edition in 2007, Alexander was entertainment host for "Tennessee Mornings on Fox 17" where she delivered entertainment news and special features. Alexander then jumped to San Antonio, TX to co-host the daily entertainment show "Great Day S.A." at KENS-TV.San Antonio, TX. She helped launch, produce and host the weekly home improvement show "Mi Casa Makeover," Alexander also an Anchor/Reporter at the station.

A contributing writer for San Antonio's NSIDE Business Journal, Alexander also sits on their Advisory Board, as well as on the board for GIRLS, INC.  She is an active member in the country music scene and appears in country music artist Josh Turner's music video "What it Ain't." Alexander remains involved in numerous special projects for both film and music. A vocalist and songwriter, she penned the theme song for the independent movie "Heaven Cent."

Alexander is a Seattle native.  She received a B.S. in Political Science with an emphasis in International Relations from Westmont College in Santa Barbara, CA, and served as student body president of the college.

She currently lives in the New York area and frequently emcees all kinds of charity events, conferences and panel discussions.
